Plant family: Parmeliaceae
Aroma: Deeply earthy, green and woody and mossy, reminiscent of a damp forest floor.
Origin: France.
Note: Base.
Extraction Method: Solvent extraction from the lichen grown on oak trees.
Appearance: Dark green/brown. Consistency: Thick viscous liquid.

Naturally occurring key constituents: evernic acid, d-usnic acid, atranorine, and chloratronorine.
